There are two groups of people, the ones that wear resetters and the ones that don't and worship mammon. I got to choose what family I wanted to be born into. The ending I received was getting my head blown off in church because i was wearing a resetter and that's illegal (The cost of herd mentality). Everything seemed pretty clear and I think you explained all the details of the two groups very clearly. I really liked getting to choose what family I would be born into.
Thank you for your comment, glad to hear that you like my work~! The family-choosing part is indeed important since I decided to make those two storylines completely separated, but both of them do have an ENDING about survival from this dangerous world :D⬅️although they're also not happy endings, perhaps it will be more relief when u find them compared to the other cruel parts.
I was born into an anti-RESETTER family, but they relented when I insisted on being fitted with a RESETTER so that I could be like my peers. To gain favor with my parents I began working at church, but my life is cut short as it informs me that I am participating in illegal activities and it explodes.
I played multiple times but the first playthrough I described ended with 13: The Cost of Herd Mentality.
Really outstanding worldbuilding. The details are incredibly interesting and vivid. I greatly enjoyed the kinds of choices and variety of outcomes you provided. It has a lot of depth, which left me feeling more curious after each playthrough.
Aside from some spelling and grammar issues related to shifting tenses, there weren't any things which affected the game negatively for me. Given the amount of text you have, it was good idea to visit the Writing Studio. It definitely benefited from breaking the larger passages of text into small ones over the past week.
Most memorable for me: Incredibly satisfying outcomes that rewarded my curiosity (For example, ENDING 0: Strangled in Infancy). Great work!
Thank you so much for your comment! Happy to see you are interested in it~ The issues about writing will be fixed, maybe I will go to the writing studio several times for this :D! This game may be just an intro to my fictional world, next assignment I'd like to write something about more specific characters and positions (The Maritime Space Station/ The Ark), can't wait to use maps and other visual elements!
I really like the intro, which tells us that we are being born into a world where the two main factions either pursue technological advancement or reject it and turn to religion instead. Both of my first playthroughs resulted in the player dying at their own hand (endings 0 and 2), and in a way both were rejections of the RESETTER.
I didn't find any elements that threw me off, this was great! Going to find more endings now!
Thank you so much for your comment! Glad to hear you like it~
In a world that takes place in the future. Two groups of people formed to find a way to keep immortally. One is tech base while the other is religious. The fact you can chose which family to be born in you also chose how to live your life. For there to be 15 different endings there are some much on must do and the more you play the more you learn of this world. The first ending I got was ending 6 Just a Peaceful Life that SEEMS Endless. To think that RESETTERS was also destroying the planet making it disappear the more you use it.
Thank you for your comment~ What you said is indeed the truth of this world :D!
I got ending 8! I thought it was fun to keep resisting since I felt like I wanted to protect my character from getting harmed from these weird futuristic devices! it also was interesting with how you explained everything in the beginning! Definitely helpful!
Thanks a lot for your comments! I hope that ending 8 didn't leave you feeling hurt. Compared to other endings, you're lucky to have found a less cruel ending! :D
the worldbuilding here is CRAZY! it's so engaging and detailed, and I love how the entire game is presented as a simulation of the world, so being prompted to constantly restart makes sense within the scope of the game. i also really enjoy the accompanying visuals, they were very impressive to see and helpful to my understanding of the game!
it struck me as inherently very emotional, despite the robotic feel and nature of being described the world. some parts felt a little sparse or short to me, but that could just be because i read quickly. regardless no issues and amazing game !
Thanks a lot for your comment! Some of the endings in this story are very short, and while I'd like to try my best to bring some dark humor into these tiny dead endings, it looks like I still have some work to do! :D
This is a really cool and ambitious concept! I also enjoy how professional the format felt along with the vast world building. The initial information was a bit difficult to keep up so it would be interesting to have it more incorporated/ interactive with the player? over all this is a really cool game made for such a short time frame!
Thanks a lot for your comment! Since this is a game based on my past artwork, I'm going a little too hasty in writing the text! Thank you soooo much for your suggestions, I am currently revising some preliminary introductory information based on it :D
I saw this story last week, the way you broke up the large chunks of exposition text helps to make it more readable, and keeps you engaged in the story with the interaction! I love this world your'e building and am excited to see where it goes.
I also know youve done other work for this world before, and I wonder if later in the semester you could revisit the game as something akin to a visual novel; the art youve done for it is so compelling, I would love to see the game with illustrations depicting the choices, but thats an INCREDIBLY ambitious project, I know
Thank you very much for continuing to play it! I learned a lot from your advice last week so I adjusted the pacing of the text~ Sincerely thanks! Answer to the question: Yes! I'm definitely going to keep working on this and maybe eventually it will become a real game!
This was really interesting! I really enjoyed the writing, how intense and deep everything felt. The whole experience felt like battling mortality/existence which was really interesting. I got Ending 1: In Vain, which has a really interesting turn? You basically want to be immortal and ignore the incoming issue of the void, but it ends up catching up to you regardless. I definitely want to play through more of this, as its really compelling! The story & writing work really really well for this :)
Thank you so much for your comment! Your words make me feel motivated to continue optimizing/developing the structure of this story and this fictional world! :D
Very ambitious
:D Thank you for your comment! Since this game is just an extension of some of my previous artwork, it may seem a bit long and hard to read---- But trust me, I will try to solve the problems (both narrative and grammatical) later soon!!
I enjoy how much worldbuilding you have for this story, and the multiple endings make it really engaging and interesting to play! I think this was an ambitious story to take on during this small of a time frame, I would have enjoyed some of the worldbuilding being included as we play instead of toploaded at the beginning. If you continue this project that's how i would recommend expanding it!
Thank you so much for your comment! Glad to hear you like it! I'll do more work on that since it's just a rough draft right now :D~
This was super cool! I loved the elements you are working with and the world-building was fascinating. Your art was the perfect cherry on top.
Thank you so much for comment! Reaaaallllllyyyyy makes me feel encouraged and I will continue to improve the story (and fix the bugs) :D
